		<description>I think the big issue is the word &#039;Christian&#039;.

The moment the word was first coined, a religion which people could &#039;sign up to&#039; to one degree or another was created.

To me it&#039;s like political party membership. You can call yourself a &#039;party member&#039; and carry a membership card but that doesn&#039;t mean you actually subscribe to the views of that party.

The title is meaningless.

What is meaningful is when people actually follow Christ and don&#039;t just claim affiliation with a religion.</description>

		<description>I&#039;ve been going to church all my life (my father was a pastor) and I can completely sympathize with your frustrations. I think a lot of people share them. 

I think it&#039;s up to those of us who know this to bring back old-school Christianity. Christ never gave up on his church, and I don&#039;t think we should either. But it definitely needs to become a place where religious traditions stand aside for compassion and church bylaws bow down to mercy.</description>
